Once upon a time, in a land not quite near here yet not too far away, A strange convergence occurred. Three wildlings with a talent for sound came together, drawn to the sounds they each were making. Running with wolves and dancing with shadows they found shelter in a cave. Making sounds in the dark.

Starting out in 2008, Faridkot has been a regular act on Delhi stages and beyond. Riding early on the wave of sufi music influx that is still flowing in, they have carved out a cult following for themselves in the North. Faridkot’s music is a mixture of shifting blues guitars and harmonic love melodies blended around a thumping percussion and bass. Described in certain circles as Confused Pop.

IP Singh provides the voice and the words of Faridkot, with Sonam harmonizing the vocals. Backing the Hindi poetry is Rajarshi Sanyal on electric guitar, Nikhil Rufus Raj on bass and Sahil Mendiratta on percussion. So come with us.
