A Pongal meal is the blessed spread of food. It marks the end of the winters and the arrival of the harvest season, thereby being one of the most celebrated festivals in the Hindu calendar. To celebrate this season's bounty harvest and the onset of the first month of the Tamil calendar, Zambar is offering a special menu as it invites you to it's Pongal feast on 15th January 2021.
It's time to replace your plates with banana leaves and taste the flavours of Southern India. Zambar, famous for serving flavourful coastal cuisine is all geared up for a grand Pongal feast. The festive special menu features popular vegetarian classics that promise to take you to the traditional lanes of Tamil Nadu.
The delicious spread comprises of diverse traditional offerings from Kadamba Sambar, Kara Kozhambu, Vendakkai Mor Kuzhambu to Thakkali Rasam, along with delectable Beans Poriyal, Raw Banana Varuval, Potata Pattani Masala and many more. One can also indulge in other scrummy regional delicacies like Masala Vada, Medu Vada, Pooni Rice and Onion Pacchadi; all served with a dollop of ghee on the banana leaf. End your meal on a sweet traditional note with Sweet Pongal and Semiya Sabudana Payasam.
If you are hesitant to step-out yet, simply call the restaurant as they are catering to delivery orders as well. But don't forget to pre-order your Pongal thali, a little birdie told us they are selling out fast!
