Stellar Children’s Museum in association with Hands On presents a workshop on water and it’s properties at the Museum on September 21st, 2013.

Details of the workshop:

Discover the power of water and the energy it can create! Explore why certain objects sink and others float. Experiment by placing dams into the slots to maneuver the flow of water. Can a floating object travel around your dam? Will your dam overflow? Trial and error is the theme at the water table! Water play is a great way for kids to understand the importance of liquids and through hands on experiments they learn about some of the important physical and chemical properties of water like the shape of water, density, absorption and much more.

The experiments are endless. Through cooperative play, both children and their adult friends will be exposed to math and science concepts as they explore the way water moves (fluid dynamics) by watching it, touching it and redirecting it. Experimenting and playing with water in different ways fosters physical, mental (cognitive) and social-emotional growth in children.
