About ‘Fire Exit’

FIRE EXIT is a progressive alternative rock band from Gurgaon, New Delhi. The band plays music which is a combination of rock, metal and electronic sound incorporating it with melodic vocals and jazzy instrumentals. The band essentially blends great vocal melody along with instrument harmony, and is based on experimentation with varied time signatures, jazz-influenced bass-lines and an Indian percussion instrument. But at the same time, they like to keep their music simple. As a group of musicians brewing their styles together, they also lay equal focus on the way they 'sound' live and on record, giving importance to not just what they play, but also how all that playing comes together and mixes when it comes out on speakers; hence immense stress is laid on the production of their tracks. Their focus as a band is to create a sound unique to the band, with varied styles of rock, metal and psychedelic coming together for great listening pleasure to both the common listener and other musicians. They lay stress on improving their songwriting and playing as they grow together as a band, looking to create mature and sensible music.

Achievements:
Channel V Launchpad, more recently, the NH7 Weekender and the Jaipur Literature Festival album release. Also recently, they have been playing a lot in and around Delhi, played almost at every possible venue in the last three months.

About ‘Suhail and Adi’

An electro-acoustic act led by Suhail Yusuf Khan and Aditya Balani, who have been playing and writing music together since 2002. Both the Delhi based musicians have been performing internationally for over a decade, and their collaborative work has been featured in bands like Advaita, Incognito, Artistes Unlimited, Suhail Yusuf Khan Collective, and the Aditya Balani Group.

This project features their simple yet powerful songwriting with arrangements that span different genres including Electronica, Jazz, Hindustani, Folk, Sufi, Blues and Rock.
